Audition coaching for drama school applicants
The audition season is upon us again, Drama Schools open up for applications and the auditions will be underway before you know it! Getting in to drama school is a long, challenging process and we're here to provide help and advice during the entire journey from application to acceptance. The majority of drama school students did not get in the first time they tried, so even those who have been through the process once may find additional coaching highly beneficial.
With so many schools to consider and auditions to prepare for many people find bespoke guidance a valuable asset whilst applying. Between 2500-5000 people apply for the top drama schools each year and many schools accept only 30 onto their degree courses; the competition is fierce and having some focus could just give you the edge you need to make into your chosen institution. Most people who get in to drama school have had some form of coaching along the way!
We set up this company because we found certain advice and pointers with audition pieces invaluable when auditioning. Our coaches are all professional actors who have trained at one of the very top CDS drama schools.
Auditioning for drama school can be extremely nerve wracking! We have all been there - literally! Showing your work to fresh eyes can be daunting, the panels auditioning you won't know you like teachers or friends and you only have a precious few minutes to win them over. Having been on the decision making panel several times our advice and coaching is tailored to they key elements that panels are looking for in those crucial few minutes.
Please bear in mind that nobody can guarantee that they will get you in to any drama school but we can certainly help you give it your best shot. It is a tough process and it is common for people to apply three years in a row before achieving the place at the school they want. If you have been rejected, look at it as a learning experience, you will already know more about auditioning and the schools. Acting is full of rejection and you have to really want it. It's been said many times, 'if you can do anything else - do it!' Having said this, do not be put off as it is also a rewarding and challenging industry, we are all still acting and still love it.
Good luck!
